I believe laws as social contracts are defined by consent of the governed.
And Govt is defined by who takes responsibility for redressing grievances.

See links above about restoring the full meaning of the right to petition for a redress of grievances.
I believe by empowering people with access to free speech, free press and right to petition EACH OTHER
to redress grievances, this is where people can be equal in democratic due process and representation/protection of interests.
Money is only one factor that has hijacked and skewed this process; disparity and bias is also affected by
property ownership, social influence and association, and education, access and knowledge of the laws.
No amount of money can fix the problems; and once they are resolved, people no longer have to fear victimization or oppression by monetary influence.
In general, I believe in working toward
* executive reforms
moving from collective punishment to collective responsibility
through shared credit for solutions instead of projected blame for problems
* economic reforms
moving from unfair competition to cooperative economics and sustainable development
* legislative reforms
moving from conflicts of interests that cause bullying by exclusion or coercion
to conflict resolution that respects consensus and equal protection of interests
* judicial reforms
moving from retributive justice focused on judgment and punishment
to restorative justice focused on corrections and restitution
again by consent of the people involved and affected
all these powers are embodied in people by natural laws
spelled out in the Constitution, especially the First Amendment
* free exercise of religion, free will, executive power
* free speech, judicial power to interpret and speak opinions and beliefs
* free press, legislative power to write out laws and contracts that represent the people
* right to assemble and to petition for redress of grievances,
combination of the above to participate freely and equally in democratic due process,
checks and balances, and equal defense of interests in enacting, reforming and enforcing policy.
